Low carb kibble for my (no longer) Diabetic cat!
5 Stars
Low carb kibble for my (no longer) Diabetic cat!
My sweet Baby has put me through the ringer trying to find something, anything, that he would eat!!!7 years ago, he got a UTI and was put on Urinary SO. (A prescription dry kibble) He loved it & had no more urinary problems.A month ago he was drinking and p’ing all day long!! Took him to the vet... DIABETES! 517! I had to test his sugar by pricking his ear several times a day & give him an insulin shot every 12 hours. After 3 days of that & hours & hours of research, I found I needed to switch him to a low carb diet.Friskies pate=meh. He was tired of that after a week. But his diabetes was gone & his numbers ranged between 78 and 128!👏Fancy feast pate=wouldn’t touch it.Tiki cat can=threw up all over the house all night long & in my bed and on my sons laptop! He was 1 sick cat!!! Took 2 days to recover!Tiki cat dry kibble=he’ll eat a bite or 2Fussy cat can=wouldn’t get within a foot of his bowl!Natures Variety Instinct=ate a bite or 2Can chicken breast=ate 3 or 4 bitesAt this point, my 16 pound cat is now 12 pounds! And losing... He just won’t eat! After 3 weeks of buying tons of different cat food just to throw out...Dr. Tim’s Chase dry kibble arrives in the mail and....Ahhhhhhhhh! My baby LOVES IT!!!!! And begs for more!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!🙏He just ate a couple hours ago & he’s sound asleep!! So I see no problems yet. If he stops eating Dr. Tim’s, throws up or it spikes his sugar to an abnormal range, I’ll update my post.Good luck everyone and I hope this info helps someone else’s baby. ❤️
